VETERAN BROADCAST REPORTER AND PRODUCER

After an award-winning career as a television news reporter, Elizabeth Donatelli opened her own video production company, Seven Shots Productions, which creates videos for companies, nonprofits, and unscripted television shows. She was hired to develop, launch, and produce a digital, investigative docs-series that was honored at various film festivals across the country. Elizabeth also runs the National Journalism Center, a training program for aspiring journalists.

Previously, Elizabeth spent ten years as a broadcast journalist where she covered news and politics. She has been awarded several Associated Press and Society of Professional Journalists honors for her work and has been a nine-time Emmy nominee. Elizabeth has appeared on CNN, MSNBC, NBC’s Nightly News, and the Weather Channel, among other networks.

YoungWild: Desert Bighorn Sheep

Two youth hunters’ epic journey to find the desert bighorn sheep. Elizabeth coordinated, field produced, wrote, edited, shot (second camera), and post produced the story of the young female hunter (7:34-17:53). She also post-produced and wrote much of the rest of the episode.

Making the Cut!

This Hollywood based live competition is in its third season where contestants compete to become Southern California's Top Stylist. It is filled with drama both on-stage and behind-the-scenes, captured by the video crew. Elizabeth storyboarded, shot, and edited this compelling, live hair styling competition using Adobe Premiere.

Daniel In The Den

A former Oklahoma City Police officer is convicted of sexual-assault related crimes, but a closer look shows documented discrepancies, changing witness testimony, and stories that don’t add up. Elizabeth flew to Oklahoma five times to conduct and produce dozens of interviews and site visits. She poured through hundreds of pages of transcripts, court documents, and police reports to ask the question: What if he didn’t do it?

Fishing Wars: Drowning in Regulations

This story investigates the plight of New England commercial fishing families struggling to survive an onslaught of regulations. Elizabeth managed the crew with incredible efficiency, shooting this entire episode in just three days. The piece took home the HIIDA Trophy and was named a semi-finalist at the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards.

Railroaded: Surviving Wrongful Convictions

This investigative series profiles those wrongfully convicted who served extensive time for crimes they didn’t commit. Elizabeth met with the falsely imprisoned and coordinated and conducted heart-wrenching interviews of how they made it out. This compelling episode won the Manhattan Film Festival’s “Film Heals Award.”

Tracking Sex Offenders in Southern Nevada

With thousands of registered sex offenders living in Las Vegas, KSNV wanted to know how law enforcement kept tabs on them. Elizabeth worked on this explosive investigation for months and takes you along the patrol, speaks with convicted offenders, and shows you why Nevada's laws be must changed. This series was nominated for an Emmy.
